ROBERT W. HURWITZ is a partner of the firm and a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and Western New England Law School. Mr. Hurwitz was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1983, the Florida Bar in 1984, and the Rhode Island Bar in 1991. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Districts of Massachusetts and Rhode Island and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Mr. Hurwitz primarily handles construction, commercial collection and business litigation, practicing before state and federal courts in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Mr. Hurwitz is a board member and past President of Community Work Services, the oldest vocational rehabilitation facility in the United States serving individuals with disabilities. Mr. Hurwitz is also a construction and commercial industry arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Home Improvement Arbitration Program and has lectured before the International Fitness Equipment Credit Group of the National Association of Credit Management (NACM). Mr. Hurwitz has, for eighteen consecutive years, been named a Massachusetts and New England Super Lawyer in the field of construction law. The list appears in Boston Magazine as well as the publication New England Super Lawyers, and recognizes the top five percent of attorneys in New England.
