ROBERT W. HURWITZ is of counsel to the firm and a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and Western New England Law School. He is admitted to the Massachusetts, Florida, and Rhode Island Bars. Mr. Hurwitz is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Districts of Massachusetts and Rhode Island, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
Mr. Hurwitz focuses primarily on construction, commercial collection, and business litigation, representing clients before state and federal courts in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He has served as a board member and past President of Community Work Services, the oldest vocational rehabilitation facility in the United States supporting individuals with disabilities.
In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Hurwitz is a construction and commercial industry arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Home Improvement Arbitration Program. He has also lectured before the International Fitness Equipment Credit Group of the National Association of Credit Management (NACM).
For twenty-one consecutive years, Mr. Hurwitz has been recognized as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer in the field of construction law—a designation awarded to the top five percent of attorneys in New England. He has also been named a Top Lawyer in construction law by Boston Magazine.
